[Phibrizzo has a magical tome in his lap when he looks into his journal for this video broadcast. It's interesting, the things one can find in the library. He's learned a bit about magic in other worlds.]

Just curious, but how many people here practice magic, or come from a world where people use magic?

[This inquiring mind wants to know. Specifically, he wants to know who poses the most potential threat, but from an academic standpoint, he is sincerely interested as well. In that vein, he shares a little bit of information about his own world.]

There are more people who can't use it than those who can in my world, but it's still common enough for there to be a Sorcerer's Guild where magic is formally taught. A lot of people who can't use magic directly can still use magic objects made by a sorcerer.

[Including brass rackets. He'd like to get some of those here in Luceti and introduce the sport. The chaos and hilarity would be well worth it. But that's not the point of today's broadcast.]

I've also noticed there are a lot of people with powers here. If you have them, are there a lot of people who have them in your world? And if you don't have them, are there people in your world who do have them? I'm kind of curious if there's some kind of thing that makes people more likely to wind up here.

Well, he doesn't seem to be trying to prevent anyone from taking books, in any case.

[It wouldn't that be hard to create a micro-conflict. Nothing overt like orchestrating a civil war, but little things here and there to stir people up...that could be done while still seeming innocent enough.]

I suppose a knowledge spirit could be beneficial to have as an ally...especially if he has information from multiple worlds.

Yes, he would be. Though I imagine it might take some time to compile some information, if he has a great capacity to store and organize it, that would be a useful resource.

That's true. I wonder if he'd recognize us for what we are or if he'd think we were human...

[That's worth testing out. It could involve a very different interaction if he even scratched the surface of the truth...]

Currently I doubt it with his memory loss, but it is possible before. It depends upon how much reading he was able to find.

And how much were you able to find in the library regarding Mazoku?

I found a fair amount regarding Mazoku of our universe. Yet when I disposed of it, within a set amount of time, it returned again.

I currently have it hidden away, as I could not divine a way to permanently destroy it.

That is a bit troublesome.

Perhaps another basic layer of protection, and remove the floorboards before placing it underneath? There is something to be said for simplicity as well. We can place some sort of enchanted weapon within the closet to divert suspicion.

Even if someone broke in, they'd think an enchanted knife was valuable enough to hide and protect and not think to look past that.

Precisely. Most mortals are rather short sighted when it comes down to it.

Shall I make the arrangements to have something forged, or just a retrieve a weapon from the forge?

Just retrieve something from the forge. It wouldn't be that hard to enhance its appearance a little with magic and make it look like a different weapon.

[A master craftsman might recognize the blade, but most won't look that carefully. If it's forged, people will pay more attention to it.]

Very well, I'll get something suitable and we can have some fun changing its appearance around a bit.

Some fake jewels of magical empowerment embedded into the hilt might be a nice touch.

[Ah, fake enhancements. He has to give humans credit for coming up with clever scams.]

Simple enough to do. Alter its appearance to look a little more sinister might be worthwhile as well.

[Having something look cool and scary often was a high enough selling point, even if there were far simpler more effective weapons.

He pauses for a second to resume the basic summary of his report]

Within the village there are a few potential threats, but most can be mitigated with simple diplomacy. Focusing on common enemies and allying for the sake of survival will prevent most potential dangers from occurring. I am working to continue analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of individuals within the village.

[He pauses]

Unfortunately I was not able to gather too much about the Malnosso and Third Party during the draft, but I will sign up for some missions in the future to hopefully gather a bit more.

Who would you identify as the top three threats, so far?

[He wants to know who all potential threats are, but he wants to know their names in particular.]

I'll join you on a few of those missions. The power cap seems to be lifted on drafts and missions and I want to do a few experiments.

[Specifically in matters concerning death. It's broken here and he doesn't like it.]

In terms of raw power, a member of a warrior known as Vegeta. He and those related to him should all be considered potentially dangerous, as they have high levels of chi power, able to cause enough damage to destroy a mountainside even while under the barrier's influence. The other one who was fighting and caused this incident has since left the village, another warrior of similar caliber known as Goku. In terms of scheming and manipulation, I would say Loki has a high likelihood of being able to figure out plans, and likely has a few schemes going. Saori is quite a talented individual, and she is similarly dangerous to Vegeta and others, and she is also a spirit and able to identify what we are.

Thankfully she seems quite content to keep that under wraps for the time being.

Mm...I'll have to be careful about hiding my power around Saori, then.

[If he can mask his presence from Gaav and Xellos in relatively close proximity to them, he's fairly confident he can hide that from a spirit from another world.]

That's true. Even the nature of your power and mine is fairly different.

[Destructive, yes, but the power that could be bestowed by Beastmaster was different than what could be bestowed by Hellmaster.]

When did you meet her?
