[Phibrizzo has a magical tome in his lap when he looks into his journal for this video broadcast. It's interesting, the things one can find in the library. He's learned a bit about magic in other worlds.]

Just curious, but how many people here practice magic, or come from a world where people use magic?

[This inquiring mind wants to know. Specifically, he wants to know who poses the most potential threat, but from an academic standpoint, he is sincerely interested as well. In that vein, he shares a little bit of information about his own world.]

There are more people who can't use it than those who can in my world, but it's still common enough for there to be a Sorcerer's Guild where magic is formally taught. A lot of people who can't use magic directly can still use magic objects made by a sorcerer.

[Including brass rackets. He'd like to get some of those here in Luceti and introduce the sport. The chaos and hilarity would be well worth it. But that's not the point of today's broadcast.]

I've also noticed there are a lot of people with powers here. If you have them, are there a lot of people who have them in your world? And if you don't have them, are there people in your world who do have them? I'm kind of curious if there's some kind of thing that makes people more likely to wind up here.

Well, they're as solid as anybody. They have to interact with humans.

[They just have to wear a hat at all times.]

Is that how they're working for their second chance?

Yes. They fulfill certain tasks in a certain amount of time.

[brat_from_hell]

How long do they usually have to fulfill a task? And what happens if they don't accomplish it in their given time?

[amberguardian]

Depends on the task. Usually God will give them more time than should take. But if they don't finish, then they're taken back, and wait.

I was never told exactly how everything works, but they eventually are put into a new body.

[brat_from_hell]

Like the same kind of body that they had before when they were solid souls? Or as in they're reborn?

[amberguardian]

Reborn. Only a few souls get to stay as they were, and be the same kind of person that they were in their last life.

[brat_from_hell]

Well, I guess it would be a little boring if they were the same person over and over again.

[amberguardian]

I suppose so...though even if they are the same soul, with each new life something about them is different.

[This she knows about very well.]

[brat_from_hell]

They would meet all different people, and maybe learn entirely new skills, I suppose, growing up and living with different people. Reincarnation doesn't happen in my world. In mine, when people die, Lord Hellmaster lets all the souls sleep peacefully in crystal.

['Lord Hellmaster' and 'peacefully' don't seem like they would normally go together, but she won't ask.]

So are new souls are just created when a person is born?

[That's how it is in Heave and Hell, so she can understand that.]

Mmhmm. They're born, they live their lives, and then they have an afterlife of rest sleeping in Lord Hellmaster's crystals.

[Although he realizes he neglected to mention a couple of specific circumstances where reincarnation can happen.]

Oops! I forgot. There are a couple of special cases where a soul is reincarnated, but that's because someone's soul either has a fragment of a defeated god's soul blended with it, or because that person was specially chosen by a god at one point. That's extremely rare, though.

How can someone's soul get blended with anothers?

[That's one thing she's never heard of...]

I know some stuff about souls because some of my magic draws power from Lord Hellmaster, but how it works is kind of complicated.

[amberguardian]

That's alright. I know a few things I can't explain too.

[brat_from_hell]

I don't know if even the Mother of All Things could explain everything ever. Some things you just have to learn as facts.

[amberguardian]

Some things just need to be seen...but who is the-[WAIT! The title kinda explains itself, doesn't it?]

There's someone in your world that knows everything?

[brat_from_hell]

The Mother of All Things is a goddess who created multiple universes. She's even more powerful than the god of destruction or the lord of death.

[amberguardian]

I don't think there's anyone like that in my world. Just God and Satan are the strongest ones...I'm not sure who the strongest one in the Otherworld is though.

[brat_from_hell]

What are God and Satan like? My world's gods seem to be very different than yours.

[amberguardian]

I've never met Satan, the only angels that get to meet him are the archangels...But God? He kind of acted like a father to me.

[brat_from_hell]

So he taught you things, then? Did you learn anything really neat from him?

[amberguardian]

No, I was just treated a little differently. My teacher was the archangel of wind, Hisui.

[brat_from_hell]

Oh, archangels have different elements that they look after?

[amberguardian]

Yes. There's wind, earth, water, and fire. And even their personalities match their element.
